Early Morning Work

2017

Both still in their pjs, they were desperate go get outside with Gareth. But no shoes (and Max in no pants!) meant they had to watch from the door.

Egg Shell Art

2017

They bring home these art projects from dayhome, so proud of them & so excited to show them off!

I heard all about them throwing eggs at the canvas that was sitting on a tarp that was taped to the garage. I love hearing them relay the day and realize how much they’re paying attention.

We so appreciate all the cool things they get to do!

The Juggling Dad

2017

The boys are SO impressed with Gareth’s juggling skills. And now that they were given their own set of juggling balls, this has become a daily occurrence.

Isn’t max copying Gareth the best!

I’m Backin’ Up!

2017

Get outta the way Callum I’m backin’ up! Gareth brought this toy crane back from the UK (yes…we had a GIANT bag full of his toys we brought back. It was pretty hilarious). Callum loves it so much.

Deck renos means lots of jobs to do.

Post Bath

2017

There have been a few times lately bath time has rolled around and I’ve realized I haven’t taken a photo yet today. Crap.

This happened today, so I pulled out my camera and took this one of Callum once he was out of the bath.

I set the camera down, and pulled Max out of the bath. As I dried him off he stood there saying “cheeeeeeeeeeese”!! He really is Callum’s shadow right now – naturally he needed a photo too!

We’re Home

2017

The bond these two have created the month we’ve been away is so strong. We took them away from everything familiar and they just held on tight to one another (And us of course). Traveling is so much more than just going away for a little while.

Busy Day

2017

Staying true to this project I am taking a photo every single day. We were so busy with sessions and editing and packing, so at 11pm I realized I hadn’t taken a personal photo.

The boy’s carry ons are packed, almost ready to go.

busy day

I do want to note, for myself, that we celebrated Max’s birthday yesterday. The beauty of having young children is we could change the date in all of our minds and spend the day celebrating. Callum and Gareth made birthday brownie, Grandma and Grandpa brought smartie ice cream, and we sang Happy Birthday more times than I can count. Max loves that song so much! This allowed us to work all day Saturday in preparation for our trip.

busy day

The little boy who is determined, and headstrong and hell bent on getting his way. The boy who hugs more than any other child I’ve met. Who has developed an incredibly cheeky sense of humour really early in his life. The boy who is passionate and loving and who can push Callum’s buttons like no other. You are two today. But you still fit in my sink, and that counts for a lot in my books. I love you so, baby boy. Happy birthday Max.
