My Work Crew

2017

There are days when I REALLY don’t want to go outside. But even if it takes 25 minutes to get out the door, and they only last for 10 minutes, it’s worth it. The fresh air, the playing, it’s just always good.

Tickle Tickle

2017

More and more they’re playing together, teasing each other, learning what pushes each other’s buttons. Max seems to be the master at button pushing.
But seeing them have fun together…it’s just so good.

Tea Time

2017

Almost everyday the 4 of us sit down at some point for a snack, a warm drink and a visit. It’s not always quiet, it’s often messy. But it’s just so us.

Crack of Dawn

2017

Just the three of us, up before the sun. They don’t always sit quietly together like this, but Max is right there with Callum as often as Callum will have him as his sidekick.

Upstairs

2017

Max locked the gate at the top of the stairs, and Callum was devastated he was separated from Max and I.

So I opened it back up and we took a few minutes just sitting in the hallway, so we could be together upstairs.

These emotions just overtake him, and it cancels out anything else happening in that moment. So we sit until it’s processed.

Picture for Grandpa

2017

One thing I want to make sure I remember to do is take a photo of each of the boys – smiling, looking at the camera, so I can capture every detail of them in this moment. They change SO fast.

I asked Callum to look at me and smile – and he said “only if you send it to my grandpa.”

Okay little boy, that can be done.

My 180 View

2017

I have two photos for today. I was getting supper prepped and the kitchen cleaned up and Max needed some comfort, so into the sink he went. I will put my children in sink as long as they fit! I love it so, and so do they, my water babies.

I glanced over to Callum – he was really under the weather and lethargic, and wouldn’t you know – the boy who hasn’t napped at home in months and months had fallen asleep on the couch. Sleep heals, so I left him to rest.

Into the Wash

2017

It’s an emotional day when ALL their lovies get put in the wash. I was washing the sickness out of this house so in they all went.

They cried for an hour, and they hugged them hard when they came out of the wash. A big kiss, and they happily left them to dry.

Helper

2017

I’m sorry…WHEN did he get big enough to put the groceries away? And not just toss them around, he takes them to their drawer in the island and puts their cereal and snack food there.
And he puts the veggies away too. Blows my mind.

We stop him when he tried to put the milk away…because who wants to cry over spilled milk?
